There are so many Phillip Island events during the year, especially over the summer months.

From small local markets to the hype of the International Motorcycle Grand Prix, there is something for everyone.

During the year Phillip Island is also home to many festivals, celebrating whales and shearwaters, food and wine, literature and jazz, fishing and fun and more.

And don't forget the popular Cowes Fireworks on New Years Eve!

Music at the Hen

Music at the Hen returns on every Friday night in January.
Bring your food and rug/chair and relax on the lawns listening to live music.
No BYO alcohol - available for purchase at the winery, as are food platters.

Starts around 6.00pm and finishes at sunset.

The picturesque setting for this farmers market is enticing with lots of stalls with a huge variety of goodies.
Look for local fresh produce including seasonal fruit and vegetables, the potato man with lots of potato varieties, and artisan breads.
Sample and buy olive oils, wine and beer.
Add local honey to your pantry.
For the green fingered there are plants and cut flowers.
Enjoy a relaxing coffee from the market kiosk.

The age dependent Little Penguin Dash comprises a swim between 150 to 300 metres plus a 500 metre run.

The Cowes Classic is the 3rd leg of the three part Bass Coast Series and comprises a 500 metre swim and 4 kilometre run.

Sunday Summer Sessions will be held on Rogers Lawn at Churchill Island Heritage Farm every Sunday in February.

The whole family can relax for an afternoon of live music by local artists, plus delicious food and drinks and lawn games.

A general admission ticket to Churchill Island will gain access to the event.

Browse the outside stalls selling fresh produce, clothing, plants, olive oil, preserves, decorative items and more.

Round 1 of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship will be held at the picturesque Phillip Island Circuit. 

Soak up the adrenaline-fuelled atmosphere of world-class production motorbike racing. 


San Remo Channel Challenge

San Remo Foreshore

The iconic San Remo Channel Challenge comprises a 550m swim across the channel to Newhaven on Phillip Island, then a 2km run back over the bridge and up the road toward Anderson, before turning back into San Remo. 

The race starts 4.15pm

February 26/ March 4, 2026
Woolamai Beach, Cape Woolamai, Phillip Island

Competitors representing Australia, Asia and Oceania will compete in a major World Surf League event.
